My Favorite YouTube Guitar Teachers…
If you’re sick enough to have gone to the trouble to find your way to this post, then you probably already know how to play at least a little bit of guitar. None of these guys are really for true “beginners” … you have to know a little bit already to get something out of them.
I have not put this list in any order, because I bounce around among these guys, depending on how I am feeling or what I feel like learning. They almost all offer subscription lessons that you can sign up for, and they all also have alot of free content….and they’re all excellent.
Tim Pierce - Hugely accomplished session musician.
Brandon D’Eon — Brandon is an excellent teacher and offers some unique personalized lesson content if you sign up for his course … he may yell at you and berate you and call you a “silly, stupid bitch” … don’t be offended, it’s just his way.
Mark Zabel — Mark is great at showing you practical lesson material.
Carl Brown - Carl can show you tons of songs you love, note-for-note…I think he also has personalized content.
Paul Davids — Paul has great lesson and video content…check him out.
James James and privettricker — This is the same guy and I don’t know his real name, but he seems to play all by ear, and always gets it close, if not spot on…he doesn’t sell lessons like most of the others - he just teaches by “showing” … really cool.
Rotem Sivan — anyone can tell this guy is a freaking pro … a really good jazz player.
Jens Larsen — Another excellent jazz guy…he’s got some great shorts, all the way up to longer lesson content.
Sean Daniel - Sean can show you a lot of practical playing stuff that you can pick up quickly.
There’s more of them out there…just find what works for you. More to come!
